The Fremont Elementary District 79 school board has voted unanimously to extend the contract for Superintendent Jill Gildea for five years. The contract begins July 1. Gildea is finishing her second year as superintendent. "The board is extremely pleased with Dr. Gildea's work. Our district is headed in the right direction with Dr. Gildea as its leader," said board president Sandra Bickley. Gildea said it is a privilege to serve District 79 as its superintendent and that one of its primary strengths is the staff and students.
