The Lake Villa District Library, 1001 E. Grand Ave., is opening its reading incentive program this summer with the theme of "Once Upon a Summer." Children may sign up at the youth services desk to participate in the program, which runs until Aug. 25. "This is my favorite time of year -- the level of excitement as children tackle a fresh goal for their summer is really thrilling," said Kerry Reed, head of Youth Services.
