‘Paws on the Path’ event in Ingleside

Save-A-Pet Adoption Center hosts its annual “Paws on the Path” Petathlon at noon Sunday, May 20 at YMCA Camp Duncan in Ingleside. The event includes a 1K fun walk, 3K fun run, raffle, tie dye stations, dog games, product samples and souvenir photos. A live band, classic car show, dog agility demonstrations and live radio remote are new this year. Participation in the walking or running portions of the event is not mandatory to attend the Petathlon. Visitors also will be able to meet Herman and Bisquick, two dogs rescued by Save-A-Pet staff during a recent investigation and are available for adoption. Save-A-Pet in Grayslake is celebrating its 40th anniversary as one of the largest no-kill shelters in the Chicago area.
