Our veterans deserve better

Here I am, back on my soapbox. After reading an article in your paper recently, I got very upset at the way the government is treating our returning veterans. They get sent out two or more times to dangerous locations and get back to what? No job, homelessness and bad medical care. The politicians get free medical care, and the veterans?

I wonder how many political figures’ children or family members get sent to the front? Maybe a few and maybe none. If they do, you better believe they’ll get the best of care. It’s a shame to treat our veterans this way and a sorry way to thank them for their service.
