Wisconsin governor to speak at Lake County GOP dinner

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will be the keynote speaker at the Lake County Republican Federation’s 50th Anniversary Spring Gala in April.

The event is set for Friday, April 20, at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort. A cocktail reception begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $125 per person and $1,250 for a table of 10. Additional sponsorship opportunities are also available.

“We are delighted to welcome Gov. Scott Walker as the keynote speaker for our Golden Anniversary Gala,” federation President Sandy Stuart said. “His presence is sure to generate a tremendous amount of enthusiasm in this Republican county, as he has many admirers in these parts who respect his vision for Wisconsin and his willingness to take on entrenched interests in pursuit of that vision.”

The goal of the federation’s gala is to raise funds for the 2012 general election. Proceeds will benefit grass-roots organizing efforts, upgrade technology, help maintain Lake County Republican headquarters and provide staff support for the Lake County Republican Party.
