Castro an engaged candidate

Cristina Castro represents the Kane County Board 20th District and I believe she deserves another term. Shrinking revenues are contributing to a slow economy that will create enormous challenges ahead for the board.

The Kane County Board holds the purse strings of taxes paid, and should not be squandered away recklessly. The county budget will be lean and services need to be scrutinized but not necessarily sacrificed. If Kane County is to remain successful, preserving social services, repairing crumbling infrastructure to create jobs, promoting safety protection within the sheriff's department and supporting of our public schools should be high on the list of priorities. Commissioner Castro has shared feelings on these matters and will speak up for us to safeguard these issues.
