Elderly Buffalo Grove man died clearing snow at home, police say

An elderly Buffalo Grove man collapsed and died Friday while clearing snow off his driveway, police said. The man, who was in his 80s, was using a snowblower at his house on Saxon Place near Dundee Road about 11 a.m. when he collapsed, Buffalo Grove police said Saturday. A passer-by saw the man on the ground and called authorities, police said. The man's name was not released. An autopsy is planned, police said. No other details were available Saturday.
