Arlington Heights 19-year-old killed in Elk Grove Village crash

An Arlington Heights man was killed late Wednesday when he was hit by a car at the corner of Busse Road and Commerce Drive in Elk Grove Village, police said.

Christopher Bogucki, 19, from Arlington Heights, was in the roadway when he was struck by a Ford Fusion, driven by a 47-year-old Schaumburg man, at about 10:11 p.m., authorities said.

The Ford was traveling northbound Busse Road and in the left turn lane approaching Oakton when it struck the pedestrian, authorities said.

The Elk Grove Village Fire Department responded to the scene, but Bogucki was pronounced dead, authorities said.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation and is being conducted by the Elk Grove Village Police Traffic Section.

More information is expected to be released later this morning, officials said.
