What to watch: The Red Wings have won an NHL record 23 games in a row at home, but they are 15-15-1 on the road and have been outscored 90-82. All-star goalie Jimmy Howard is expected to return from as broken right index finger while winger Dan Cleary (knee) is questionable. The Wings went 6-1-1 without him. Both Detroit wins over the Hawks have been in overtime. Todd Bertuzzi has 3 goals in the three games. Corey Crawford will try to lead the Hawks to their fourth straight win.

Season series: Red Wings lead 2-1.

Next: Dallas Stars at the United Center, 7:30 p.m. Thursday
