The Wolves (21-16-1-3), who lost their fourth straight game, received goals from Kevin Connauton and Tim Miller. Connauton's 10 goals this season lead American Hockey League defensemen.

"Sometimes in this game you don't get what you deserve," said Wolves coach Craig MacTavish. "I thought we played one of our most complete games of the season tonight, but we didn't walk away with 2 points."

Eddie Lack (17 saves) was in goal for the Wolves.
