Young actors perform “Footloose” in Schaumburg

Schaumburg On Stage, a Northwest suburban theater company for young actors, will present the musical stage version of the film “Footloose,” from Jan. 20 through Jan. 29 at the Prairie Center for the Arts, 201 Schaumburg Court in Schaumburg.

A cast of more than 90 performers ranging in age from 8 to 21 years old have been rehearsing since October for the musical featuring songs popularized by the original 1984 movie and the 2011 remake.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. on Jan. 20, 21, 27 and 28 and at 2 p.m. on Jan. 21, 22, 28 and 29. Tickets are $18 for adults and $16 for students and seniors 62 years old and up.
