What to watch: The Blue Jackets are in the midst of a miserable season at 11-25-5 and finally fired coach Scott Arniel on Monday, replacing him with assistant Todd Richards. Columbus is coming off a 7-4 defeat Sunday at Anaheim that included losing center Jeff Carter to a separated shoulder. The Blue Jackets already are without James Wisniewski, their best defenseman, with a broken foot. The Hawks have lost four in a row but are 3-0 against Columbus this season, outscoring the Blue Jackets 15-6. Corey Crawford starts in goal.

Season series: Hawks lead 3-0.

Next: Minnesota Wild at the United Center, 7:30 p.m. Thursday

-- Tim Sassone
