Bartlett to host blood drive Dec. 29

The Village of Bartlett and Bartlett Police Department will be hosting their annual blood drive from 3:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, in Heartland Blood Centers' mobile coach vehicle that will be parked in the village hall parking lot located at 228 S. Main Street.

Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment at heartlandbc.org and then clicking on the “Now Available!” button or by contacting Heartland Blood Centers representative Janet Maher at (630) 723-2565.

Walk-in appointments are also available. Potential blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, be symptom free of cold, flu and allergies, and be in general good health.

The donation process takes about an hour from start to finish, which includes a registration, a health history survey, blood pressure, and an iron level check.
