Don’t support failed right wing ideology

Fundamentally, private money flowing to government officials is the cause of our problems. But instead of eliminating private money from of our elections, Hultgren and the right-wing extremists that are the Republican Party have voted to end public funding of the presidential campaigns (HR3463).

All political contributions should be prohibited, as money is not speech, regardless of the Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United v. FEC. Hultgren obviously believes that the wealthy elite should run the nation for their benefit.

Hultgren has also voted against HR1148, the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act, because he believes that the current rules and laws that have failed to stop congressmen from using their position for their benefit at our expense will stop them from using their position for their benefit at our expense! That “logic” is the definition of insanity.

Hultgren and the other Tea Partyers were put into office in a paroxysm of anger because of what voters saw as bad government. The voters are responsible for their situation as the monster that they wanted to kill was merely fed by their ignorance. If Hultgren and his ilk are not removed from office, the policies that created this financial crisis and failed government will be continued because the failed ideologies that lead to this situation are their core ideologies.

It’s time for voters to be rational, and remove from office those who subscribe to the failed right-wing ideologies that we’ve used to develop policies for the past 30 years. Otherwise, we’re doomed to continue the downward slide to Third World nation status from policies developed from those failed right-wing ideologies that Hultgren accepts on faith.
