Buffalo Grove museum unveils holiday exhibit

The Raupp Museum for the 10th year is doing its Everybody’s Got a Gift exhibit for the holidays. It showcases the art of adult drawing and painting students at the Buffalo Grove Park District under the tutelage of Enid Silverman. This year’s show includes 48 artists from the Buffalo Grove area, ranging in age from 28 to 86. “Originally, the exhibit was planned just to give the artists a chance to show their work outside of the classroom; however, it has been great to see people grow with the exhibit,” said museum curator Debbie Fandrei. She added, “We have one artist who displayed a painting of her daughter as a toddler on the beach for our first show 10 years ago. Last year, she exhibited a painting that she gave her daughter as a Bat Mitzvah present.” Everybody’s Got A Gift runs from Sunday, Dec. 4 through Friday, Dec. 30, at the museum, 901 Dunham Lane in Buffalo Grove.
