W. Chicago businesses offer discounts to library card holders

Patrons of the West Chicago Public Library District will find their library cards have added value this holiday season when they shop locally during December.

The library is teaming up with more than 40 local businesses and restaurants to again offer its Library Card Rewards Program throughout December. A variety of discounts, incentives and free offers will be available at participating businesses just by showing a West Chicago Public Library Card.

A list of the participating businesses and their offers can be found on the library’s website, westchicago.lib.il.us, and in a brochure available at the library, 118 W. Washington St.; the Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce, 306 Main St.; and at all participating businesses.

Card holders are encouraged to look for the “Participating Business” sign with the library logo at local establishments. All residents of the West Chicago Public Library District are eligible for a free library card. Applications are available at the library’s circulation desk during normal business hours.
