Energy assistance available in Lake County

The Community Action Partnership of Lake County’s Low Income Home Energy Assistance (LIHEAP) and Weatherization Program will hold an energy fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at their central administration site, 1200 Glen Flora Ave., Waukegan. Lake County residents seeking help with energy bills, and who have not applied for LIHEAP, may call to schedule an appointment for that day. An applicant should bring the following items: proof of gross income from all household members for the 30-day period prior to application date; a copy of current heat and electric bills; proof of Social Security numbers of all household members and a #147;Medical Eligibility Card#148; if a household member receives Temporary Assistance to Needy Families.
