Holiday toy collection:

The Round Lake Area Library is partnering with the Round Lake Area Chamber of Commerce to collect new, unwrapped toys for children in need for the holidays. The toys may be dropped off in the library’s lobby, 906 Hart Road, Round Lake, now through Dec. 9, or at the Round Lake Beach Cultural & Civic Center, 2007 Civic Center Way, Round Lake Beach. All toys donated will be distributed in the Round Lake area and will enhance such organizations as the Avon Township Food Pantry, P.L.A.N and Allendale. “Times are tough, but we hope that the community can come forward with donations so that every child will experience the magic of the holiday season,” said Elena Lara, the library’s head of Outreach Services.
