Itasca District 10 this week appointed Susan Sampson to fill a vacancy on its board of education. Sampson replaces Debbi Pawinski, who moved to a neighboring community and could no longer serve since she does not live in Itasca. She will fulfill the remainder of the term until April 2013. Sampson has a professional background in finance and accounting and has served on District 10's finance committee. She also has three children attending District 10 and has volunteered with district parent organizations.
