Police: Suspicious man ran at Schaumburg boy
Schaumburg Police have released a sketch of a man who reportedly ran toward an 11-year-old boy who was on his way home from school Tuesday afternoon.
The boy, who is a student at Lincoln Prairie Elementary in Schaumburg, was walking on the 100 block of North Staffire Drive when he was approached by a vehicle at around 4 p.m.
The boy told police a man in his 30s or 40s stopped his vehicle, exited the car and ran toward him.
The student ran to a nearby house for help and when he rang the doorbell, the man returned to his vehicle and left the area, according to police.
The suspicious person is described as a white male with short semi-spiked black hair with a fair complexion and medium build. He was wearing a blue polo shirt with a logo and black dress shoes, according to police.
The vehicle was described as a late '80s to early '90s Blue Toyota Camry Hatchback with Illinois license plates with the letter āQā or āNā near the beginning.
Police said no physical contact was made between the man and the student and nothing was said by either party.
