Bin Laden taken out by SEALS, not SWAT

I had to shake my head in disbelief when reading the Fence Post item titled “Anything but more GOP leadership.” The writer, Marion J. Reis blames Republicans for everything except the Hindenburg Disaster and the sinking of the Titanic.

Perhaps it has been forgotten that before the last election, the Democrats had a majority in both houses of Congress, actually a veto-proof super majority for a while, in addition to the presidency.

During that time they could do whatever they wanted, and boy did they. Spent us into a hole so deep that it may outlast the life of our sun and put us under the thumb of the Chinese Communists.

The Republicans and tea party are not perfect either, but their concern right now is trying to get the country out of debt and back on track. Spending ourselves into oblivion is not the way. Even members of the President’s own party are beginning to see the folly of his policies.

Oh, and by the way, Special Ops had been searching for bin Laden for years before the current president took office. Mr. Obama can be credited for giving the OK to take him out with a Navy SEAL (SEA Air Land) team, not a police SWAT (Special Weapons And Tactics) team.
