Des Plaines Library free drug, alcohol abuse lecture

Keys to Recovery, an alcoholism and drug treatment center at Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, will present a free lecture on recognizing the signs and symptoms of drug and alcohol abuse, 7-9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26 at the Des Plaines Public Library, 1501 Ellinwood St. The program will be facilitated by trained medical professionals and cover the physical and behavioral signs and symptoms of substance abuse, the benefits of treatment for substance abuse, how parents and families can be supportive rather than confrontational, and how to find recovery services close to home.
