Deficit solution: legalize prostitution

Illinois faces record budget deficits. We will need to find revenue sources and cut down on government spending in order to avoid a credit rating reduction. If we continue to increase taxes, employers will continue to leave the state.

There is only one painless solution to the budget deficit crises that will completely satisfy everyone. Illinois must legalize prostitution. The taxes levied on this industry will cut the deficit while simultaneously reducing the need for vice squads thus reducing government spending. This solution may have the added benefit of strengthening the tourism industry in Illinois.
