Solution to our woes? Drill for oil.

This week the president will make another speech about how the government is going to create jobs. And we will hear the same rhetoric. Let’s be honest for a change. The government could end the misery with the stroke of a pen if they wanted to. Simply open up the U.S. for responsible oil drilling. Think about it. There are billions of barrels of oil beneath us.

By opening this up the following would happen: The price of gas would drop immediately; millions of jobs would be created over night to build the equipment needed, pumps, drills, tanks for storage, trucks for hauling; our dependency on the Middle East will disappear and we would not need our military there. Billions of dollars saved; our military could then protect our borders, even the southern one; so many jobs would be created that we would create a vacuum of immigrants to help fill them; competition for labor would force companies to offer better pay and benefits; the added revenues to this country would enable us to pay down the deficit and eliminate our dependence on China.

I could go on and on. But here is where we have to be honest. If all this happened, who would need the government? This whole social engineering and redistribution of wealth is not to help those that need help. It is to create more dependence on the government.

Open your eyes, America. Be honest with yourselves for a change. This is all about them. How many politicians do you see suffering as America bleeds?

We need all new faces in Washington. Faces of honest people who put America first. Always. I am for hope and change. I hope we change the whole lot of them.
