Historical parallel too close for comfort

Calvin Coolidge is known to history as an adherent of laissez-faire ideology that resulted in a period of U.S. economic heights called the “Roaring Twenties” during which Washington stepped aside and allowed the economy to find its own direction through his leadership until January 1929. We saw similar thoughts and actions by President George W. Bush. Many historians suggest that Coolidge’s policies caused the Great Depression that plagued us for the next 10 years. Hopefully Bush’s leadership will be erased in less time.
