Former ‘Jersey Boys’ band to perform in Schaumburg

Cast members of the Tony Award-winning smash hit “Jersey Boys” (the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons) deliver the sounds of the ’60s as the band “Under the Streetlamp” at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg.

Former “Jersey Boys” cast members Michael Ingersoll, Shonn Wiley, Michael Cunio and Christopher Kale Jones will perform rock ’n’ roll, doo-wop ditties, Motown melodies and favorites from the American radio songbook. These individual talents met playing as a band onstage and later went on to form a real rock band of their own.

The quartet’s charismatic camaraderie and hilarious storytelling exude the rapport of the “Rat Pack.” They’ve played sold-out houses across America, appearing on Broadway, in feature films and on television, including on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno,” “The Primetime Emmy Awards” and “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

Tickets, which cost $48 for adults and $46 for students and seniors, are available at the box office, (847) 895-3600 and online at prairiecenter.org. Prairie Center for the Arts is at 201 Schaumburg Court. The show is sponsored by Links Technology Solutions Inc.
