Man crashes car near Streets of Woodfield

A man was hospitalized Saturday night after he lost control of his car and drove off the road near the Streets of Woodfield, the Schaumburg fire officals said.

According to Fire Capt. Robert Levin, the driver ended up in tall weeds near a pond by the Maggiano's in the Streets of Woodfield.

Exactly how the driver lost control of the car is still unknown at this time, Levin said.

The Schaumburg Police Department is doing its own follow-up investigation into the accident. Alcohol and drugs have been ruled out at this point, police said.

The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m., and it took firefighters only a few minutes to get the driver out of the car.

The driver was transported to Alexian Brothers to get treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries, Levin said.
