Bartlett Street Fest coming Sept. 3

The Bartlett Volunteer Fire Department Inc. will host the fourth annual Street Fest, Dance and Raffle from noon-11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, on Main Street, Bartlett.

The Kids Zone, fun activities for kids, will again be a highlight during the afternoon. By popular demand, the “Obie the Train” ride from the Canadian National Railroad returns. Bingo will be held in the Fire Barn and there will be a Classic Emergency Vehicle Rally in the village hall parking lot.

Street fest schedule

Noon-10:45 p.m. Beer booth

Noon-9 p.m. Food booths on Main Street

Noon-4 p.m. Classic Emergency Vehicle rally

Noon-4 p.m. Illinois Patrol, fuel-injected police funny car

Noon-6 p.m. Kids Zone activities

12:45-1:30 p.m. Train Company, main stage

1-6 p.m. CN’s “Little Obie” Train rides

1-7 p.m. Bingo, in the Fire Barn

1:45-2:15 p.m. Austin Hopkins, main stage

2:30-3:15 p.m. Dear Electric Family, main stage

3:45-4:15 p.m. Austin Hopkins, main stage

5-6:30 p.m. John Ford Band, main stage

7:30-10:45 p.m. Hi Infidelity, main stage

8:20 p.m. Presentation of two BVFD scholarships

10:45 p.m. $5,000 raffle drawing (Tickets $20)

*DJ Jason entertains during all band breaks and setups.

There will be food and beer and wine available, and bands on stage all afternoon and evening featuring great music.

The headline evening band at 7 p.m. is Hi Infidelity. The BVFD will announce the recipients of two 2011 scholarships. And at the end of the evening, if the winner is present, someone will go home with the $5,000 first place raffle prize. This is a great family fun event with no admission fee.
