Des Plaines rail crossing closing for repairs

The Wisconsin Railroad crossing at Rand Road (Route 12), north of Golf Road and south of Third Avenue in Des Plaines, will be closed for repairs from 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31.

A complete closure will be required for the duration of the project. Motorists are advised to be cautious and follow detour signs using Golf Road to the south and Wolf Road to the west.
