Holy Family Fun Fest this Saturday

Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines will host its third annual Holy Family Fun Fest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the center, 150 N. River Road.

The event is co-sponsored by the Lattof YMCA of Metro Chicago, and Democratic state Sens. Susan Garrett of Lake Forest and Dan Kotowski of Park Ridge. It will feature games and activities for children and families, reduced-price sports and school physicals for $30, and free health screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose and body mass index.

Backpacks will be given to the first 100 children under 18 years old who enter the Fun Fest. Lattof YMCA will conduct a Zumba dance class at 11 a.m. Other attractions include moonwalk, YMCA climbing wall, Touch-A-Firetruck with the Des Plaines Fire Department, face painting, and free Avon makeovers.
