Men rob flagship McDonald’s drive-through window

Oak Brook police are asking for the public’s help locating two men who held up a cashier working the drive-through at a McDonald’s restaurant on the campus of the fast food giant’s headquarters Sunday night, according to police.

Two suspects drove up to the drive through window on the 1100 block of West 22nd Street and a man in the passenger sear pointed a long gun at the cashier while demanding money just after 10 p.m. on Sunday, police said.

On Wednesday, police located the gray Toyota 4-Runner that was used during the robbery, and an investigation revealed the vehicle was reported stolen on August 11, according to police.

The offenders received an unidentified sum of money and were last seen near the 2200 block of Route 83 Sunday night, according to police.

The DuPage County Sheriff Forensics’ Unit is assisting Oak Brook Police in processing the vehicle for evidence.
