Lake Villa death not suspicious

A man in his 40s was found dead in a wooded area near a Lake Villa home early Thursday night, but police said the death is not suspicious.

At least five Lake County sheriff’s squad cars and a Lake County coroner’s truck were parked outside a home on the 22300 block of Terry Drive after the body was found around 6 p.m., according to police.

Police later said it appeared the man was homeless and there was “nothing suspicious” about the death.
