Rainbow Falls staff dedicated to safety, cleanliness

As an Elk Grove resident and a four-year employee of Rainbow Falls, I can confidently state the village of Elk Grove takes great pride in their park district; especially the Rainbow Falls Water Park facility. Each staff member, particularly the lifeguards, spend weeks before the pool opens training to insure they have the necessary skills required to efficiently and safely operate this facility.

Every inch of our pool, waterslides included, is divided into zones that always safely staffed by lifeguards. This way, there is not an area in our facility that is not being watched by a certified lifeguard. This is not only a mandatory regulation by our licensing company, but also a facility rule to ensure the safety of all our patrons.

Therefore, as an employee I can promise a lifeguard will be stationed at the top and bottom of each and every slide in our water park. Also, regarding the attractions in our park, there is a diving board located at the west side of the park, where a lifeguard is also stationed.

The nonresident fee that is charged at Rainbow Falls is in no way meant as a discouragement. This price is higher for nonresidents because residents of Elk Grove are already paying property taxes which contribute to this facility. Nonresidents have not paid any money toward the Elk Grove Park District, therefore, are charged a higher rate to make up the difference.

Throughout the day, Rainbow Falls’ staff members are responsible to maintaining a clean and friendly atmosphere throughout the park. During each shift, lifeguards walk throughout the park checking garbage cans, and changing them when necessary. Also lifeguards are continuously cleaning the men, women, and family locker rooms. During each closing shift, guards change each garbage can, and walk through the Rainbow Falls parking lot to ensure no litter has been left behind by any patrons or campers.

The aquatic staff of the Elk Grove Park District takes great pride in Rainbow Falls Water Park. We do our best each and every day to ensure our facility is a safe and fun place to come for people of all ages. Joann, I encourage you and your family to give Rainbow Falls another chance. We are confident your next visit to Rainbow Falls will be a fun and enjoyable experience for your family.
