Don’t cut Social Security benefits

U.S. Rep. John Boehner, a Republican, wants to cut benefits to people who receive Social Security and Medicare. These benefits, by the way, were paid for by the recipients.

My wife and I have paid in over $300,000 to these two entitlements. That’s why they’re called entitlements.

My father died at age 52; my mother died at age 72. My mother’s Social Security payments were never paid out to anybody.

I have numerous friends and relatives who died before they collected any of their benefits. What happened to that money?

The Republicans want to cut benefits that were paid for by the people, yet they do not want to raise taxes on wealthy Americans.

Boehner says the wealthy Americans create jobs. Well, they have had the Bush tax cuts now for over nine years. Where are all the jobs?
