Libertyville golf course to host three golf tournaments

Libertyville Golf Course, the par-3 nine-hole golf course on the southeast side of the village, will host three golf tournaments in the next several weeks.

On Saturday, Aug. 13, golfers will tee it up for the first Libertyville Open, followed on Saturday, Aug. 20, by the 2-Club Challenge and, concluding on Friday, Sept. 2, with the first Libertyville Senior Open.

All three events are open to the public. Registration forms are available at www.libertyville.com/golfcourse or call (847) 918-7275.

The entry fee is $18 for each tournament. Tee times will start at 8:30 a.m. for each event.

The Libertyville Open and 2-Club Challenge will have divisions — female and male, Under 18, 18-54 and Senior 55 and up. The Libertyville Senior Open will have female and male divisions 55 and up.

“We’re excited to put these events together for the golfers in the Libertyville area and golfers throughout Lake County and beyond,” said Conrad “Connie” Kowal, director of the Recreation and Sports Complex for the village of Libertyville.

“Golfers of all ages will be able to test their skills at our beautiful par-3 nine hole Libertyville Golf Course.”

The Libertyville Golf Course is open daily at 870 Country Club Drive and Golf Road, one mile east of Milwaukee Avenue and Golf Road.
