Batavia Women in Business to host progressive luncheon

Submitted by Batavia Chamber of Commerce

During business luncheons, multi-tasking is required. During a progressive business lunch, multi-tasking takes on a new level.

Batavia Women in Business will host a multi-chamber progressive luncheon Tuesday, Aug. 9, at Lincoln Inn Banquets, 1345 S. Batavia Ave. in Batavia.

The luncheon costs $25 per person and registration is due by Friday, Aug. 5. Attendees can register online at www.bataviachamber.org/programs or by calling (630) 879-7134. Because of the format, no late registrations will be accepted.

“We reached out to numerous area chambers of commerce to join us for our inaugural progressive lunch,” says Kristen Johnson, co-chair of Batavia Women in Business.

“Chambers from Aurora, Elburn, Geneva, Oswego, Sugar Grove and Western DuPage, as well as the Kaneland WINS group, have been invited, so we are hoping for a good-sized crowd.”

At normal BWIB luncheons, attendees have the opportunity to make six to eight contacts over lunch. At the upcoming progressive lunch, guests will meet a group over soup or salad, a second over the main course and a third while during dessert.

“Many of us have attended other progressive luncheons and found them invaluable for networking,” BWIB’s co-chair Nancy Paluch-Tassi said. “Because our members continually request more opportunities for networking, we are excited to host this gathering.”

Triple your lunchtime networking opportunities at Batavia Women in Business’s August Progressive Lunch; however, don’t be late in registering.

Sign up no later than Friday, Aug. 5, by calling the Batavia Chamber of Commerce at (630) 879-7134 or register online at www.bataviachamber.org/programs. Participation is not limited to women only.

The mission of the Batavia Women in Business is to provide networking, education and philanthropy opportunities for women in business. BWIB meets the second Tuesday of every other month at various locations. The format is a luncheon with guest speakers on various topics of interest to people in business.

There is no fee to join the Batavia Women in Business if you are a Batavia Chamber of Commerce member; non-chamber members may choose to join for an annual fee of $50.
