Gurnee to vote on police contract

Gurnee village trustees are scheduled to vote Monday on whether to approve a new one-year police union contract.

The contract, if approved, would be retroactive to May 1 and run to April 30, 2012. Officers in the Fraternal Order of Police union received a 5 percent raise in their most recent one-year deal.

The board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at village hall, 325 N. O’Plaine Road. All meetings are open to the public. Officials also allot time for visitors to comment.
