Streamwood's Summer Celebration 2011 will take place July 29-31 at Hoosier Grove Park, 700 W. Irving Park Road, Streamwood.

This year's theme is “Supporting Local Business: Celebrating 30 Years of the Streamwood Chamber of Commerce.” Event highlights will include plenty of main stage entertainment; a children's stage will have activities for younger participants; a Business Expo, where prominent businesses will market their products and services; and other attractions including the annual Summer Celebration parade, golf tournament, carnival and bingo.

5-10:30 p.m. Children's carnival rides

5-10 p.m. Business Expo

10:30 a.m. Summer Celebration parade. Steps off at Streamwood Blvd. at Bartlett Road, west to the festival grounds.

Noon to 10 p.m. Children's attractions

Noon to 10:30 p.m. Children's carnival rides (unlimited rides noon-4 p.m. w/ wristband, $17)

1-2:30 p.m. Ice Cream Eating Contest, Children's Stage

1-4 p.m. Clowns Bingo & Jay Jay

1-4 p.m. Hoosier Grove Schoolhouse Museum

2-10:30 p.m. Bingo

2:30-3:30 p.m. Universal Slim & the Blues Kangaroos, blues, Family Main Stage

3:30 p.m. Jason Kollum, stilt walker and juggler, Children's Stage

Hours are 5-11 p.m. Friday, noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.

To make way for the parade, a parking ban will be in effect along Streamwood Boulevard, from Oltendorf Road to Madison, from 7 a.m. Saturday until one hour after the parade concludes to accommodate staging and clean up. At 9 a.m., East Streamwood Boulevard will be closed from Bartlett Road to Oltendorf Road. For details, visit www.streamwood.org.
