Batavia teens can enter Book Trailer Contest

Submitted by Batavia Public Library

Teens are invited to express themselves this summer in Batavia Public Library’s Teen Book Trailer Contest, now through Aug. 15. The winner will be awarded a pizza party for 10 people and eternal fame for their winning entry.

Like movie trailers, book trailers are short, but promote a favorite book. Book trailers should be two minutes long or less and can include music, graphics and video.

Batavia teens can check out the library’s JVC Picsio video camera and find a list of websites for free music, images and Web-based editing software.

Batavia Access TV also has cameras available to borrow. For borrowing information, call the station at (630) 937-5413.

Students who attend Batavia High School, or who live in Batavia and attend other high schools, are eligible to enter. Teens can put together a film on their own or assemble a film crew.

Register at the library’s reference desk or at www.bataviapubliclibrary.org. For details, call (630) 879-1393.
