Lake County Sidewinders head to USSSA World Series

The 15U Lake County Sidewinders won the USSSA Carthage College Clash Tournament and qualified to play in the USSSA International World Series Championship Tournament held in Crystal Lake, July 30-Aug 6. The Sidewinders also placed second at the recent Romeoville tournament.

The Sidewinders will be playing baseball in the Dominican Republic and participating in humanitarian projects through G.O. Ministries, Inc. during their eight-day trip designed to provide real life experiences in compassion, leadership, and relationship building.

The 2011 15U Sidewinders roster includes: Alex Alvarez, Jeff Burton, Pat Burba, Alex Garland, Adam Gomski, Mike Kaska, Jerry LaSaint, Simeon Lucas, Ryan Newman, Ryan Noda, David Rzewnicki, Joe Sisk, Drake Talles, and Tino Torres. Larry Lucas is the head coach, and is assisted by Bob Sisk and Tom Noda.

Team members represent: Richmond-Burton High School, Grant High School, Round Lake High School, Grayslake Central High School, Grayslake North High School, Antioch High School, Lakes High School, Libertyville High School, and Glendale, Wis.
