Celebratory chamber music concert in Barrington

Fifty-five year Barrington residents and Barrington United Methodist Church members Bill and Dyllis Braithwaite extend an invitation to their friends, family and church members to share the joy of their 60 years of marriage in a vocal and chamber music concert and fellowship at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at Barrington United Methodist Church, 98 Algonquin Road, Barrington.

The concert will be performed by their daughter, Nancy Braithwaite, professor of clarinet at Rotterdam Conservatory; granddaughter Amarins Wierdsma, an award winning violinist at Amsterdam Conservatory; Nicolas Harris, pianist at the Royal College of Music, London; Walter and Stephanie Preucil, well-known for their string performances in Barrington and the Midwest; and Rosalyn Wesley, soprano with Barrington United Methodist Church, the Elgin Choral Union and the M&M Choir.

This concert is open to the public. In lieu of gifts, honorary donations may be made to Family Service of the Barrington Area, c/o BUMC Missions and Outreach, Barrington United Methodist Church, 98 Algonquin Road, Barrington, IL 60010.

Family Service has provided counseling in the Barrington Community for 45 years and was initiated via the efforts of Barrington United Methodist Church, with Bill and Dyllis among the founding members.
