The Palatine Park District hosts the FlyDogs -- training and disc dog entertainers -- at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, at Ost Field, Fremont and Colfax streets, Palatine.

The show features trained dogs, many of them rescues, who entertain the crowd while demonstrating their skills in agility, flyball, tricks and freestyle.

The dogs jump, weave, spin, vault and more. Youngsters from the crowd are invited to join the performance for special tricks with the FlyDogs.

Ost Field is behind the Community Center at 250 E. Wood St. -- in case of rain the show will be moved to the Community Center Gym.

Tickets are $6; $5 for groups of 20 or more. For tickets or more information, call (847) 202-5222 or online at

Also, attendees are asked to assist homeless dogs, by bringing a can or small bag of food or a soft dog toy to the show. Young at Heart Pet Rescue will take them to foster dogs waiting for a home.

Flydogs holds training classes in Oswego for pet owners who want to develop a more positive relationship with their dog through training. Call (630) 202-9716 for information.
