Keep dogs away from Mt. Prospect market

This past Sunday I decided to once again visit the MP farmer’s market. For years I have not stopped by and now I remember why. I could not believe the number of dogs at the market.

Personally, I have nothing against dogs. But, I do have a problem with their ignorant owners. One dog was so big his nose was equal to the height of the tables. The dog owner allowed his dog to sniff food offered for sale. We all know where that nose has been. Another owner allowed his dog to walk into the shrub area and do his business there. Makes buying food real appetizing.

Two dogs almost got into a fight. A dog came up behind me and sniffed my leg. That was enough, I left the market without spending a dime.

Have all of you forgotten the old saying, “curb your dog”? Maybe Mount Prospect should consider a policy about dogs at the market.
