Hoffman Estates hosts 3rd Fitness For America Sports Festival this coming weekend

The third annual Alexian Brothers Fitness For America Sports Festival will take place from Friday to Sunday, July 22-24, near the AT&T campus in the village of Hoffman Estates.

This is a full weekend of running and skating events for all fitness levels. The FFASF draws from 35 states and five countries, attracting a unique spectrum of participants, from recreational athletes to reigning Olympic gold medalists. More than 1,700 participants are expected this year, a 20 percent increase in attendance over last year.

You don’t have to be a professional to enjoy this festival — become part of the excitement as a participant, volunteer, spectator or Children’s Advocacy Center fundraiser. Get your friends, family and co-workers together to come out and enjoy this festival promoting fitness, health, community and environment.

This year, the village and the Hoffman Estates Park District have partnered with the Alexian Brothers Health System in their effort to eliminate childhood obesity. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of ABHS, there will be no fees for any of the children’s events.
