Wrong in 1968, still wrong today
U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam and the House Republicans are wrong. Roskam has always been politically wrong. He and I argued on the school playground in second grade about the 1968 presidential election — he was for Nixon and I was for Humphrey.
Our country would have been far better off with a Humphrey presidency. Instead we got a crook.
Now, Peter Roskam wants to decimate our social services so that the rich and powerful can have even more money and power. Wrong in 1968, wrong in 2011.
