Skip appeal, Rod; take your lumps

Now that the Rod Blagojevich trials are over it is time that he falls on his sword. In the first trial, he used all of his available funds to defend himself. For the second trial he used court appointed lawyers paid by the taxpayers. To appeal his convictions will cost more taxpayer money plus he could lose his home in Chicago and condo in D.C.

Blago has to consider not only himself but also his family.

Ed Vrdolyak took the prison time because the cost of his appeal would not only cost money but would place a hardship on his family. Blago after the sentencing hearing should immediately go to federal prison to stop the destruction of his family and save what remains of his wealth for his family.
