Augustine to be new SBA chairman

The Schaumburg Business Association announced Monday that Chair-Elect Richard Augustine, Sr., of R.J. Augustine and Associates, Ltd. CPA’s, would step up to become chairman of the SBA board of directors ahead of schedule.

Augustine succeeds Jim Gould of the Hyatt Regency Woodfield. Gould resigned Friday as the Hyatt Regency announced it will be changing management firms this week and he will not be staying on long-term.

As chair-elect, Augustine was expected to succeed Gould on Jan. 1 for a one-year term as chairman. SBA President Tonya Lamia said Gould’s resignation means Augustine’s term as chairman will start earlier and last longer.
