Lake Zurich historic tours

For the first time, Lake Zurich brings the past to life and offers residents and nonresidents a historical tour of the village. Tours will be held in the morning and afternoon on Saturday, Aug. 20 beginning at the Ela Historical Society, 95 E. Main St., Lake Zurich. Viewers will learn about four prominent locations in town and have the opportunity to visit four historic Lake Zurich homes. At the end of the tour, they will return to the society for food and refreshments from local restaurants. Ticket donations, $12 normally, are $15 the day of the tour.
