Raupp Museum in Buffalo Grove offers free summer programs for kids

Every Tuesday and Wednesday during the summer, the Raupp Museum at 901 Dunham Lane in Buffalo Grove will be offering free activities to the residents of Buffalo Grove. On Tuesday afternoons, the museum will have free walk-in activities from 1-3:30 p.m. On Wednesday mornings, the museum staff will move outdoors, meeting participants in one of the parks for nature-themed activities and a walk to look for examples of the theme of the day. All activities are free, but call to let them know you are coming to the Wednesday programs, so they know how many supplies to bring. For questions, call the museum at (847) 459-2318, or email Debbie Fandrei at DFandrei@bgpkr.org. Activities include churning butter today; learning about birds at Mike Rylko Community Park Wednesday, June 15; making candles at the museum June 21; studying bats at Willow Stream Park June 22; making rope at the museum June 28, and studying life under logs at Mike Rylko Community Park on June 29.
