Last chance to get Mount Prospect vehicle stickers before crackdown

No kidding, Mount Prospect residents should have their vehicle stickers in place by this weekend.

Those without it will pay late penalties when police conduct a villagewide enforcement campaign starting Sunday.

Stickers can be purchased at Mount Prospect’s village hall between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Village hall also will be open this Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon. Stickers cost $36 for passenger vehicles, $24 for motorcycles and $54 for trucks with B plates.

Regular Passenger Stickers also can be purchased through Saturday at the Algonquin-Busse Currency Exchange, 1725 W. Algonquin Road, although a $2 service fee applies.

The police department will be conducting fixed saturation enforcement points at key intersections throughout the village during summer months, including intersections in residential neighborhoods, in an effort to increase compliance.
